We will look at how trauma works in our bodies and interactions, and how mindfulness can support both people living with trauma and the people supporting people living with trauma.
Various strategies will be shared and tested and participants will have the opportunity to share their own practices and experiences to build on our collective mindfulness repertoire.
Chelsea teaches in the Victoria NIDES Heartwood Learning Community. She has a Masters in Educational Technology, a certificate in teaching Primordial Sound Meditation, a certificate in Restorative Justice, wrote and teaches Trauma-Informed Practice in Educational Settings for Queen’s CTE, and is working on her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University. Her intention is to help schools become places of healing for all community members.
