Developing compassionate understanding of our own triggers and responses is essential to helping us self-regulate and connect to the children we teach. Join us for a half day of deep learning, whereby you will move beyond the “find more time to relax” narrative and understand how to truly increase your resilience to stressful situations. You will also learn how to apply research on polyvagal theory and interception to supporting self-regulation – for you and your students! We love neuroscience, and so will you after this half-day workshop!

Bridget Mawhinney is a school counsellor, and Andrea Wilson is an occupational therapist. Together, they have more than 50 years of experience as special educators. They are both curious, lifelong learners who are grateful for the lessons that kids teach them every day.
