There are countless ways to practice mindfulness beyond sitting quiet and watching the breath. Come explore simple, engaging methods to introduce mindfulness to children in a way that feels natural, playful, and supportive.
You will leave with experiential practice, handouts, and practical tools to help kids manage anxiety, regulate emotions, and build calm-body awareness. You will learn how to support anxious kids with tools like: postures, box breathing exercises, mindfulness of sound, body scan, focus practices, and mindful exercises such as the “Mind Journey” and “Puppy Practice.”
Julie Blais (she/her) was introduced to meditation in 2001 and spent seven intensive months practicing meditation as an ordained Buddhist nun in Thailand. Her 20 years + of practice deeply shaped her understanding about herself, how her brain works, help manage her anxiety, increase self-esteem, self-confidence and develop self-compassion. Over the years, she has completed multiple long-term training programs to teach meditation and mentor practitioners with care and compassion.
Beyond her mindfulness work, Julie is a massage provider and health coach who is passionate about holistic well-being. She has travelled extensively around the world to this day following her passion discovering new cultures, lifestyles. She loves spending time outdoors, exploring nature, cooking, gardening, and engaging in continuous personal growth.
