Join us to tour the new KFN Archaeology Lab and participate in hands on learning to identify different animal bones that were excavated from an archaeological context from IR2. We will discuss local Indigenous food sources, archaeological faunal analysis, and how we are what we eat.

Raini Bevilacqua (they/them), M.A
Raini is a settler of Eastern and Western European descent who works as an Archaeologist for the K’ómoks First Nation. Raini has run KFN’s Cultural Heritage Inspection Permit program as well as the KFN Archaeological Monitor Program since 2023. Raini lives in the Traditional Territory of the Pentl’atch and K’ómoks people with their partner Jessie, daughter Qwenis, and dog A’:shxw.
